Oleksandr Usyk has claimed that he is aiming to fight Tyson Fury in February 2024 to compete for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world. Last month, both boxers agreed a deal to fight in late December but have yet to officially announce a date with Fury’s bout against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou taking priority.<\/p>\n
Contracts between the pair were signed when the fight was first announced. The bout would see the heavyweight belts from\u00a0all four of boxing’s major sanctioning bodies up for grabs –\u00a0WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO.<\/p>\n
Fury is the current\u00a0WBC heavyweight champion, while Usyk holds the\u00a0IBF,\u00a0WBO and\u00a0WBA\u00a0Super World Heavyweight championships.<\/p>\n
The Ukrainian boxer has already checked into a training camp in Valencia, Spain, ahead of the contest which he hopes is only a matter of months away.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t need to think about my opponent. I just need to be with him, fight and that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n
