We were supposed to fight on December 23, but we saw what happened. But the fact that it is postponed is no problem for me.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/10\/18\/77649877-0-Heavyweight_king_Oleksandr_Usyk_has_surprisingly_been_omitted_fr-a-1_1699639981623.jpg\" height=\"409\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Oleksandr Usyk has said he hopes his heavyweight unification fight against Tyson Fury can take place in February<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/10\/18\/77655937-0-_The_Gypsy_King_Tyson_Fury_is_also_named_in_Stevenson_s_list_whe-a-2_1699639985361.jpg\" height=\"411\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>WBC champion Fury has been given extra time to recover from his bruising split-decision victory against Francis Ngannou in the &#8216;Battle of the Baddest&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I&#8217;m not 100 per cent sure [the fight will happen in February]. I will only be sure when I am in the ring&#8230; Only when I hear the sound of the bell will I understand that the game is on.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Usyk&#8217;s promoter Alexander Krassyuk told <span>Mail Sport&#8217;<\/span>s The Hook podcast that there would be an announcement of the date of their fight this week.<\/p>\n<p>Krassyuk then shared that the camp were happy to give Fury extra time to prepare to face off with the Ukrainian in a bid to give fans the best possible spectacle.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It depends on how he&#8217;s gonna spend this time,&#8217; Krassyuk said. &#8216;If it brings him to a better shape and better spirit, then definitely yes.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;But we remember Tyson after he defeated (Wladimir) Klitschko and was supposed to fight in the rematch, he spent his time, let&#8217;s say, not in the best manner.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Usyk, who was ringside in Riyadh to see Fury claim victory by split decision, celebrated his own hard-fought victory in August against Daniel Dubois.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 36-year-old was left on the canvas for more than four minutes after taking a hit from British fighter Dubois that was controversially ruled a low blow.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, Usyk&#8217;s determination to continue dominating the heavyweight division has not been dulled.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &#8216;I have an incredible motivation and I am hungry. I am not motivated by money.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I have chased this for 20 years and I think in February we will hear the bell.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/10\/18\/77662159-0-image-a-3_1699640107061.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Usyk was in Riyadh to watch Fury eventually come out on top against former UFC champion Ngannou<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/10\/18\/77095741-0-During_the_embrace_Usyk_then_lifted_up_Fury_who_recently_labelle-a-4_1699640431934.jpg\" height=\"549\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Fury and Usyk were seen embracing prior to the &#8216;Battle of the Baddest&#8217; last month<\/p>\n<p>Fury has previously labelled Usyk a &#8216;sausage&#8217; and there has been uncertainty about whether a fight between the pair would ever take place.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But they shared an embrace in Saudi Arabia following Fury&#8217;s win against Ngannou, and Usyk has, somewhat surprisingly, admitted he has plenty of admiration for his rival.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I love this incredible person,&#8217;
