Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot\u00a0announced the birth of his daughter on Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 24-year-old and his fiancee, Claudia Pinto, shared a heartfelt image onto his Instagram page which was captioned ‘Welcome to the world Clara. 15.11.2023’.<\/p>\n
The black-and-white photo showed both Dalot and Pinto clasping the hand of their daughter.<\/p>\n
A number of Dalot’s current United team-mates – such as Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat – were quick to send their congratulations to the couple in the comments.<\/p>\n
Even some former United stars – like David de Gea and Juan Mata – also left warm regards in the comment section of the Instagram post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The news comes just days after Dalot was released from Portugal’s squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers for ‘personal reasons’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The full back was called up by boss Roberto Martinez ahead of his side’s upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Poland.<\/p>\n
Dalot was widely expected to start both matches off the back of a strong start to the season at club level, having played 16 times in all competitions to date.<\/p>\n
But he will play no part in either fixture after quitting his country’s training camp.<\/p>\n
A Portugal statement read: ‘Joao Mario will make his debut in a national team call-up after being called up this afternoon to replace Diogo Dalot.<\/p>\n
‘The Manchester United defender was released from the national team’s work for personal reasons and after communication with national coach Roberto Martinez.<\/p>\n
‘Joao Mario, FC Porto player, has 42 caps including 15 at U-21 level.’<\/p>\n

Dalot’s fiancee, Claudia Lopes (pictured), shared multiple pictures throughout her pregnancy<\/p>\n
Dalot and Lopes have dated since 2020 and the footballer’s fiancee even joined him in Italy when he spent a year on loan with AC Milan during the 2020-21 season.<\/p>\n
Their engagement was announced in style back in March, with Dalot proposing to his partner in a room filled with roses and a luminous sign reading ‘Marry Me?’<\/p>\n
Dalot posted the news on Instagram with the caption: ‘YES to the rest of our lives.’<\/p>\n
