Once the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix had concluded, Ted Kravitz was assessing the race when he got the shock of his life. The Sky Sports pit lane reporter was looking at some race statistics before he was shown a picture of Valtteri Bottas showing off his posterior.

“Oh my gosh!” Kravitz exclaimed. “You’ve got it! So this is one of the naughty pictures that I refused to show you on the Notebook yesterday, but very well-timed and I did not set this up. This gentleman has come and shown the www.bottass.com, a cancer charity calendar for Movember, with 12 shots of Valtteri Botas complete nude, and that’s the one with him riding the little hobby horse. Do you see what I mean why it was so naughty I couldn’t show you yesterday?”

This week it was confirmed that the Alfa Romeo driver decided to bare all for his own nude charity calendar, a year after he sent social media into meltdown after uploading a picture of him nude in a river.

His 13-picture calendar is on sale for £16, with £4 from each purchase of the ‘Bottass’ calendar going to Prostate Cancer Research. “I was seeing some photos of people taking pictures, some have it in their living room or kitchen or bedroom,” he said previously.

“What is incredible that that’s the power of social media. We got £43,000 for charity in 24 hours with a picture of somebody’s bum like this. It’s crazy.” The 34-year-old has supported the Movember movement which also assists and raises awareness for prostate and testicular cancer, as well as men’s mental health.

Bottas had a race to forget as he finished last at the Las Vegas GP. Any chance Alfa Romeo had for a strong points total were dashed when the former Mercedes racer collided with Fernando Alonso and was then hit from behind by Sergio Perez in the first corner of the first race.

Despite starting seventh, the damage was done and Bottas could only bring the car home in P17, 85 seconds behind race winner Max Verstappen. “I started in a very strong position but, unfortunately, my race was pretty much ruined at the first corner,” he said post-race.
