{"id":298218,"date":"2023-11-20T17:24:40","date_gmt":"2023-11-20T17:24:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/allmysportsnews.com\/?p=298218"},"modified":"2023-11-20T17:24:40","modified_gmt":"2023-11-20T17:24:40","slug":"exclusive-evertons-hopes-of-waiving-10m-fee-for-alli-are-fading","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allmysportsnews.com\/soccer\/exclusive-evertons-hopes-of-waiving-10m-fee-for-alli-are-fading\/","title":{"rendered":"EXCLUSIVE: Everton&apos;s hopes of waiving \u00a310m fee for Alli are fading"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>EXCLUSIVE: Tottenham are unhappy with Everton&#8217;s &#8216;absurd&#8217; claim that their \u00a360m Richarlison deal caused them to breach Premier League spending rules &#8211; with their hopes of waiving \u00a310m fee for Dele Alli now in jeopardy<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Everton&#8217;s bid to waive the \u00a310m fee for Dele Alli has been dealt a setback\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Tottenham are unhappy after the club blamed them for their overspending\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>It\u2019s the world against Everton \u2013 it can galvanise the players to stay up &#8211; IAKO\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Everton&#8217;s hopes of Tottenham waiving a \u00a310million fee for Dele Alli have receded after they blamed them for over-spending that has resulted in the Toffees being docked 10 points.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mail Sport has learned that Tottenham are unhappy with Everton&#8217;s claim that Daniel Levy&#8217;s refusal to pay \u00a380million for Brazilian striker Richarlison caused them to breach the Premier League&#8217;s spending rules, which sources at the club have described as absurd.<\/p>\n<p>The 41-page written judgement published by the Premier League&#8217;s independent commission last Friday contained a claim from Everton that Tottenham had exploited their problems complying with profit and sustainability rules by driving &#8216;a hard bargain&#8217; in the transfer market.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Everton also said that the \u00a360m transfer fee Tottenham agreed to pay for the Brazilian striker in June 2022 \u2013 which was \u00a320m short of their valuation \u2013 was &#8216;directly attributable to PSR calculation difficulties.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Everton&#8217;s attempt to use the Richarlison fee as mitigation for their over-spending was rejected by the independent commission and may now have damaged their relationship with Tottenham.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/20\/15\/78025937-12771349-image-a-95_1700494384006.jpg\" height=\"425\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Everton&#8217;s hopes of waiving the \u00a310m fee for Dele Alli have faded after blaming Tottenham for their overspending<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/20\/15\/78025825-12771349-image-a-93_1700494268344.jpg\" height=\"476\" width=\"306\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/20\/15\/78025815-12771349-image-m-92_1700494260866.jpg\" height=\"476\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>The Toffees claimed Daniel Levy&#8217;s refusal to pay \u00a380m for ex-striker Richarlison caused them to breach the Premier League&#8217;s financial rules<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>The two clubs held talks last month over restructuring a deal which currently states Everton must pay Tottenham \u00a310m if Dele makes another seven appearances, a fee they would struggle to afford at present due to their financial problems, but have yet to reach an agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Tottenham do not want to prevent Dele reviving his career at Goodsion Park, but have made it clear that any renegotiated settlement has to be right for both parties, with a new deal now viewed as less likely.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old also has to improve his fitness before manager\u00a0Sean Dyche will consider him for selection, as he has not played since picking up an injury during a loan spell at Besiktas last February.<\/p>\n<p>Everton&#8217;s claims to have been short-changed by Tottenham have received short shrift in north London, with club sources pointing out that Richarlison will become their record signing if various add-ons in the contract are triggered to take the fee to \u00a360m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/20\/16\/78025837-12771349-Spurs_do_not_want_to_prevent_Alli_reviving_his_career_but_have_m-a-1_1700498648730.jpg\" height=\"427\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Spurs do not want to prevent Alli reviving his career but have made it clear a settlement must be right for both parties. Everton must pay them \u00a310m if he makes another seven appearances<\/p>\n<p>As it stands the guaranteed transfer fee of \u00a352.5m makes Richarlison Tottenham&#8217;s second most expensive signing after Tanguy Ndombole, who signed from Lyon for \u00a354m.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tottenham&#8217;s bid for Richarlison was also significantly higher than other expressions of interest from Chelsea and Arsenal, and gave Everton a significant profit on the \u00a340m they paid Watford for him four years previously.<\/p>\n<p>Tottenham are adamant that Everton&#8217;s problems are due to their own financial mismanagement.
