England have secured their spot as top seeds for the Euro 2024 draw – but they could still face a nightmare draw.

The Three Lions racked up 20 points in their qualifying campaign, meaning they'll avoid facing hosts Germany as well as Portugal, France, Spain and Belgium in the group stages of next summer's tournament.

They'll all be in pot one of next month's draw in Hamburg. Tuesday's (November 21) remaining qualifiers, plus the play-offs in March, will determine who fills the final three pots.

Sky Sports is bringing you 500 live football games to watch, as well access to Cricket, Golf, F1, Boxing, NFL, NBA and more across eight dedicated channels. Sky Sports is the only way to watch all the action this year.

£22 a month

Currently pot two is occupied by Denmark, Hungary, Albania and Austria. One of Romania or Switzerland, who play each other for top spot in Group I in Bucharest on Tuesday, will join them.

Group D is the other qualifying group yet to be finalised. Croatia could still finish top of that group and enter pot two, but may yet fail to qualify altogether if Wales beat Turkey and they lose to Armenia.

The Netherlands, Scotland, Slovenia, Slovakia and Czech Republic sit in pot three, with Serbia the only nation in pot four as things stand – with the three play-off winners joining them.

How far do you think England will go in Euro 2024? Let us know in the comments section.

While there's a lot of ifs, buts and maybes in play, England can theoretically be drawn with a combination of Denmark, the Netherlands, Croatia or Italy – whose pot is yet to be decided and dependant on the results later on this evening. All of those four are ranked inside the top 20 of FIFA's standings, and it would certainly qualify as a group of death.

That would be the worst case scenario, but the flip side of the coin would be a group of Albania (ranked 59th), Slovenia (54th) and a winner of the play-offs, which will be contested by 12 teams based on their performance in the last Nations League.

The Daily Star is now on WhatsApp and we want you to join us!

Through the app, we'll send you the sassiest showbiz stories, some naught headline and a seismic smattering of aliens…along with the latest breaking news of course.

To join our community, all you have to do to join is click on this link, select 'Join Chat' and you're in!

No one will be able to see who has sign up and no one can send messages except for the Daily Star team. It looks highly likely they'll have to fight through the play-offs, however.

They'd be battling against Georgia, Greece, Ukraine, Poland, Estonia, Finland, Kazakhstan, Israel, Luxembourg, Iceland and Bosnia and Herzegovina for one of the three remaining spots.

Join the Daily Star's WhatsApp for the sexiest headlines, showbiz gossip and lots more
