What it\u2019s like being annihilated and banned THREE times by Fergie \u2013 It\u2019s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Football fans have reacted after Joey Barton&#8217;s controversial appearance on TalkTV to speak to Piers Morgan about his opinion on female commentators and pundits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Barton launched a misogynistic rant on social media on Wednesday evening, claiming women &#8216;shouldn&#8217;t be talking about the men&#8217;s game&#8217; and that men who listen to them &#8216;need their heads testing&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>He continued to share sexist posts on Thursday, while he also claimed women\u00a0are only getting jobs in men&#8217;s football because TV companies have &#8216;quotas to fill and boxes to tick&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>When appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, he doubled down on his views and claimed the &#8216;woke agenda&#8217; was responsible for female pundits, before he added he &#8216;can&#8217;t take a thing they say seriously in the men&#8217;s arena&#8217;. Jesus wept.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Another added: &#8216;What right does Barton have to speak about the state of football punditry? Having never been an elite pundit himself? Surely we should be listening to the opinions of those more qualified, by his own logic?&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>More supporters piled in as one said: &#8216;Name checks Mark Chapman, who&#8217;s never played the game but earned the right to present &amp; talk about it through hard work. Then goes on to say women who&#8217;ve played the game their whole lives, who live &amp; breathe it, can&#8217;t talk about it because they never played at mens level?!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>A further social media user followed up on this contradictory claims as they added: &#8216;Love\u00a0how he contradicts himself in first 30 seconds.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>One other said: &#8216;So what&#8217;s the difference between a MALE commentator that hasn&#8217;t played the elite level and a female that hasn&#8217;t played the elite men&#8217;s level? Had a stinker there. Football&#8217;s for everyone.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>However, there were some users who agreed with Barton&#8217;s comments and backed up his stance on female commentators and pundits.<\/p>\n<p>One said: &#8216;He&#8217;s not wrong,&#8217; before another added: &#8216;Agree!!! I can&#8217;t sit there and listen to their half time analysis.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a further supporter also felt the former QPR and Man City midfielder was talking sense as they said: &#8216;I don\u2019t particularly like Joey but on this I thought he was absolutely bang on! Come on. Let\u2019s be serious.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It\u2019s a completely different game. If you don\u2019t accept that. We will always see things differently.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The women\u2019s game is thriving. Fantastic to see. I cannot take a thing they say serious in the men\u2019s arena #namaste.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Just seven minutes later, he then added: &#8216;Any man who listens to Women commentary or co-comms needs their heads testing\u2026 #sticktoyourowngame.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><span>He continued his tirade on Thursday as he sparked fresh controversy by hitting out at his former club City for having a female presenter for their men&#8217;s matches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Barton posted a video on social media of the presenter setting the scene ahead of the team&#8217;s Champions League\u00a0clash with RB Leipzig last week.<\/p>\n<p>Having been irked by the 14-second clip for some reason, Barton wrote alongside it: &#8216;I mean look at the nonsense. Someone got to say something or it won\u2019t ever end.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>He proceeded to post another message to highlight his view that women are not being given jobs in men&#8217;s football on merit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Of course loads of ex-top players can\u2019t get a gig because the TV Companies have quotas to fill and boxes to tick,&#8217; he added.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Their experience thrown on the landfill to accommodate the \u2018Woke\u2019. Only way they will change if it hits them in the pocket.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;That only Happens When the men decide to switch off. I have a problem with that.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>In response to that, Barton had posted on X: &#8216;Kevin Keegan. Ballon D&#8217;or winner 1978. England manager.
