Alex Scott has laughed off Joey Barton's appalling rant after saying that she has "no authority" to speak on men's football.<\/p>\n
The Arsenal legend was one female pundit singled out by the ex-Premier League player who has gone on a social media rampage this past week unloading on female pundits and commentators who work on men's football.<\/p>\n
Barton, 41, has angered many on social media with this views but Scott, 39 – who has become an accomplished broadcaster since retiring from football in 2018 – laughed off the rants by the former Manchester City star.<\/p>\n

Taking to her Instagram story, Scott was talking with an unknown colleague in a clip and asked him: "Who are you interviewing?" to which he responded: "I'm interviewing you actually." The England great then jokingly said: "Oh are you? What are we talking about, Joey Barton?" before she and her colleague began laughing.<\/p>\n
Barton was active on X (formerly known as Twitter) during Wednesday's (December 6) Premier League fixtures broadcasted by Amazon Prime with their coverage being fronted by the likes Gabby Logan, Eni Aluko and Siobhan Chamberlain which the Liverpool native had something to say about.<\/p>\n
