In her own words, which she has shared on her Instagram page, her co-ordination was &#8216;off&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/13\/77604491-12729293-image-m-8_1699534814916.jpg\" height=\"580\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Wrexham star Anthony Forde\u00a0saw his life turned upside down when Laura was diagnosed with a brain tumour<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/13\/77604487-12729293-image-a-7_1699534805897.jpg\" height=\"628\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Forde&#8217;s wife Laura noticed a problem when her newborn baby was only three days old<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/10\/77598371-12729293-image-a-21_1699525703720.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Ryan Reynolds intervened when he heard why one of Wrexham&#8217;s players was out of the team<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/10\/77598367-12729293-image-a-29_1699526373099.jpg\" height=\"308\" width=\"632\"><\/p>\n<p>Speaking in Welcome to Wrexham, Forde&#8217;s wife spoke of being told of her inoperable tumour<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>An MRI scan found a &#8216;mass&#8217; and she was initially told was not curable, inoperable and she was expected to have short life expectancy.<\/p>\n<p>Following Reynolds&#8217; intervention the couple received a second opinion from a top New York neurologist and Laura underwent a biopsy, which detailed that it was a grade 1 Thalamic pilocytic astrocytoma &#8211; a benign brain tumour, much less fatal than the first verdict.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the location of the tumour it is inoperable but the couple saw this as the &#8216;best case scenario&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Now, she has explained to The Sunday Times\u00a0how her &#8216;living nightmare&#8217; took control of her life in the immediacy of giving birth.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The neurologist told us it was inoperable and you have a timeline,&#8217; Laura says. &#8216;We said then we didn&#8217;t want to know how long. Paddy was four weeks old and I am being told basically that I may not see my son turn a year old.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;No word of a lie, I was planning my funeral as I was doing those night feeds. I was crying silently. It was a really low time. A living nightmare.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/10\/77598361-12729293-image-a-31_1699526383415.jpg\" height=\"313\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The Hollywood star wanted to help the wife of Anthony Forde after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. In the first few months after giving birth, a woman is severely all over the place hormonally, not to mind getting this landed on me. Emotionally, it was just a roller coaster.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I was initially in shock and disbelief. I was in such a vulnerable place that I felt I should be happier about this, but I had just been through the worst seven weeks imaginable with my newborn baby.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>In September Laura posted again on her Instagram story, explaining that there had been no growth to the tumour and she was &#8216;relieved&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/10\/77598363-12729293-image-a-30_1699526378580.jpg\" height=\"305\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Forde could not believe Reynolds helped them get a second opinion following her MRI scan<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/09\/10\/77599919-12729293-image-a-28_1699526316253.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The episode has a positive ending as they got the &#8216;best case scenario&#8217; from the second opinion and Forde made his return to Wrexham&#8217;s team, scoring in their crucial match against Yeovil\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>However, she did reveal that a screw had been left in her head following the operation.<\/p>\n<p>Writing on Instagram, she said: &#8216;I wanted my wound checked as I felt like something wasn&#8217;t right with it. I was convinced I could feel something.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;To my horror I was told there was a screw left behind from the biopsy. Wtf?!
