<\/p>\nEverton opted to show the logo of a Merseyside foodbank in response to sickening poverty chants from the Chelsea away end. <\/p>\n
The Toffees continued their recent superb form with a 2-0 win over Mauricio Pochettino's side at Goodison Park. Goals from Abdoulaye Doucoure and Lewis Dobbin sealed all three points for Everton, who have now won four of their last five games.<\/p>\n
However, the contest against Chelsea, which saw Everton pull further away from the Premier League relegation zone after their record 10-point penalty, was marred by awful poverty chanting from a section of Chelsea fans.<\/p>\n

"Feed the scousers" and "sign on" are two chants Chelsea fans sang to the Goodison Park home crowd. The disgraceful songs prompted ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher to take to social media to condemn the chanting.<\/p>\n
"Feed the scousers," wrote Carragher adding a pained face emoji. "Delighted Everton have gone in front after the nonsense getting sung by the Chelsea fans." And he also later added after the result: "Made up the blues won!!"<\/p>\n

And additionally, Everton also opted to show on the big screen at Goodison the logo of 'Fans Supporting Foodbanks' which was launched as a joint initiative between Liverpool and Toffees supporters back in 2015.<\/p>\n
"A club and its fan base standing together as one," tweeted the Fans Supporting Foodbanks account on X in response to the sickening chants. They added: "It's not big or smart to chant about poverty and food insecurity Another massive collection today, thank you for your generosity."<\/p>\n
