Fans are calling for Pep Guardiola to be banned following his actions during Manchester City vs Luton Town.

City survived a scare as they recovered from going a goal behind at half-time to put down a brave fight by Luton and battle to a 2-1 Premier League victory at Kenilworth Road.

The champions had been without a victory in four games and that run looked like stretching in the most unlikely circumstances when Elijah Adebayo headed in for Rob Edwards’ side on the stroke of the interval.

Guardiola’s side then burst to life to revive their title defence, with two goals in three minutes from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish turning the game on its head as a famous upset was narrowly bypassed.

However, much of the focus after the game was on Guardiola, who was seen berating the official at half-time before leaving his area to celebrate his side’s winner.

Fans are calling for the City boss to receive a ban for his actions during the game

‘It is what it is. We have played the first half against these types of teams in this sort of stadium, (and today) we did it perfectly.

‘We conceded not much and created half chances to score.

‘The first half was much better than the second half. In the second we scored the goals. Overall, I am really satisfied.

‘The dynamic is good. Now go to Belgrade to defend the work we have done in the group stage, play Crystal Palace and then go to CWC in Saudi Arabia.’
