Michael Schumacher’s ex-manager, Willi Weber, has claimed he ‘no longer has hope’ of speaking to his former friend and client again. The seven-time F1 world champion has been in private care at his family home for nearly a decade now with minimal updates given to his legion of adoring fans.

The tenth anniversary of Schumacher’s accident is now fast approaching – the 54-year-old was skiing with his son Mick in the French Alps on 29 December 2013 when he sustained a serious head injury after crashing while navigating an off-piste area.

Schumacher was placed into a medically induced coma until June of the next year when he was brought back to the family home in Switzerland. Since then he has been cared for by his wife Corinna, who has rarely offered updates on his state and fitness, instead pleading for privacy as the legendary racer remains away from the public eye.

In an interview with Express.de, Weber was asked about his feelings towards Schumacher ten years after the accident, to which he replied: “Unfortunately when I think of Michael now, I no longer have any hope of seeing him again. Without any positive news after ten years.”
