It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Jose Mourinho has brutally shut down Arsenal&#8217;s chances of winning this season&#8217;s Premier League title &#8211; believing it to be a straight shoot-out between Manchester City and Liverpool.<\/p>\n<p>The Gunners ended the weekend sitting top of the table by a point after they beat Brighton 2-0 and Liverpool were held goalless by Manchester United on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Aston Villa moved just a point behind them in third with their win at Brentford, but Manchester City dropped two points in drawing with Crystal Palace\u00a0on Saturday to boost Arsenal.<\/p>\n<p>However, that didn&#8217;t make any difference to former Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham boss Mourinho, who rated Arsenal&#8217;s chances of a first title since 2004 at precisely zero.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Asked who was going to lift the trophy this season on John Obi Mikel&#8217;s &#8216;Obi One&#8217; podcast, Mourinho said: &#8216;I would say Man City 51 per cent and Liverpool 49 per cent.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/18\/09\/79077207-12876305-image-a-6_1702892894429.jpg\" height=\"420\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jose Mourinho doesn&#8217;t believe Arsenal have what it takes to win the Premier League title<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/18\/09\/79077205-12876305-image-a-22_1702893262192.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Mikel Arteta&#8217;s side do currently top the standings after favourable results over the weekend<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/18\/09\/79078977-12876305-image-a-20_1702893224988.jpg\" height=\"402\" width=\"306\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/18\/09\/79078975-12876305-image-a-21_1702893234987.jpg\" height=\"402\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Mourinho replied &#8216;nah&#8217; when asked about Arsenal&#8217;s title chances and rated Manchester City as marginally ahead of Liverpool to retain their trophy<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>When challenged &#8216;No Arsenal&#8217;, Mourinho replied &#8216;nah&#8217; and pulled a face, leading Mikel to laugh his head off.<\/p>\n<p>After former Chelsea midfielder Mikel claimed Arsenal &#8216;always capitulate&#8217;, Mourinho did sportingly admit he wouldn&#8217;t mind seeing Arsenal end their two-decade league title wait next year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Honestly, rivalry apart, I would like them to win,&#8217; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Of course, Chelsea and Man United are not going to win it. Out of these three, I would be happy for Arsenal to do it.
