Former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui has revealed that he wants his managerial return to be in England.<\/p>\n
Lopetegui hasn’t managed since his departure from Molineux in August but insisted that when he does return to coaching he wants to be back in the Premier League.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 57-year-old is reportedly ‘very well placed’\u00a0to succeed Erik ten Hag as Manchester United boss if the Dutchman is sacked.<\/p>\n
Lopetegui described the English top flight as the best league in the world.<\/p>\n
He told\u00a0Sky Sports:\u00a0‘It’s why I’ve said no to different countries and different situations because I would like to stay here in England.\u00a0I feel like our team here is just starting and we want to achieve our dreams.<\/p>\n

The former Spain, Real Madrid and Sevilla boss says that it is important to have a project where he is able to put his stamp on the club.<\/p>\n
Lopetegui added that he is comfortable fighting for different aims, whether challenging for the title or attempting to avoid relegation.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lopetegui said: ‘I have fought for titles, I have fought for different aims but of course for the most important thing to feel like you have a project you can put your stamp on it, where you can work and improve the performance of the whole club – if you ask me, I’d like this kind of challenge and to be able to achieve each aim the club has.<\/p>\n
‘I have to be ready. When you accept a challenge, it’s not just about the players and the way you want to play\u2026 I think you have to understand where you are, what’s the culture of the club and the history too.’<\/p>\n

Lopetegui guided Wolves to a 13th place finish in his only season as manager of the club<\/p>\n
