Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could ring the changes against West Ham in the Carabao Cup this evening. The Reds manager is juggling his squad in a busy December and could make six alterations from the goalless draw against Manchester United. Express Sport looks at how we expect Liverpool to line up against the Hammers.

Goalkeeper – Kelleher

Caoimhin Kelleher has been Liverpool’s cup goalkeeper this season and that will continue. The Republic of Ireland international will replace Alisson between the sticks.

Kelleher was below par in the defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise last week. He will hope to return to his usual levels tonight at Anfield.

Defence – Gomez, Quansah, Van Dijk, Alisson

Ibrahima Konate rarely plays two games in quick succession so will likely drop to the bench for this one. Jarell Quansah will come back in for the Frenchman in central defence.

Klopp is short of options at the back so Virgil van Dijk will likely keep his place. Trent Alexander-Arnold could get a rest though, with Joe Gomez likely to start at right-back.

Conor Bradley and Luke Chambers started in the Europa League last week. But it would be a surprise to see either of the young duo start, with Kostas Tsimikas set to keep his spot at left-back.

Read more… Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez spotted in tears on pitch after Blues beat Newcastle

Midfield – Endo, Jones, Elliott

Ryan Gravenberch was taken off against United due to fatigue. He will unlikely be used from the start and could be rested altogether ahead of Saturday’s match against Arsenal.

Wataru Endo has featured heavily in Alexis Mac Allister’s absence in recent weeks. Mac Allister is not ready to return yet so Endo could keep his spot.

Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott may both be handed an opportunity from the start. Dominik Szoboszlai could be saved as an option off the bench.
