Shayna Baszler is determined to give her friend Ronda Rousey the best fight she’s ever had after her match with Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36. Baszler has been booked in a bout with RAW Women’s Champion Lynch at WrestleMania, which was taped on Wednesday and Thursday at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida behind closed doors and will air this weekend.
But now it possibly means we’ll do it in WWE
The Queen of Spades will battle the same woman who handed her close friend Rousey her first ever WWE loss last year at WrestleMania 35.
Baszler and the UFC Hall of Famer have a lot of history as they started hanging out when they were both still MMA fighters.
The ex-NXT Women’s Champion added that The Rowdy One stood by her side and helped her get back on her feet during a rough patch in her career when it seemed like “the whole world was ending” for her.

The 39-year-old has since wanted to repay The Baddest Woman on the Planet for that favour by giving her an unforgettable match.
They both thought that would take place in the Octagon at UFC but the former NXT star now claims that it will possibly happen in WWE.

Baszler told Digital Spy: “When [UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter] wrapped up and we were at home watching the show air I was at a stage in my life where the whole world was ending it seemed like.
“And [Rousey] flew me out to California and it was supposed to be for two weeks and there was a blizzard in my hometown and my flight got cancelled and I just never came home, I just stayed in California for six years.
“I told Ronda that time rejuvenated my MMA career and got my mind back on track. And I told her, it was funny because at the time I thought we were talking about MMA, but I told her, ‘Ronda, you in a lot of ways saved my life and the best way that I know how to say thank you is to give you the best fight you’ve ever had, so that’s my goal one day.’
“We just recently talked about how funny it is that at that time we were thinking ‘we’re going to fight for the UFC title sometime.

“But now it possibly means we’ll do it in WWE. So it’s funny how things turn out not quite the way you planned but exactly the way you planned.”
Rousey enjoyed a dominant debut season in WWE after rolling credits on her UFC career last year as she won the RAW Women’s Championship just four months after her first match and defeated the likes of Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax and many more.
The MMA hero, though, hasn’t been seen on WWE TV ever since losing her title to Lynch in the inaugural all-women’s WrestleMania main event, which also included Charlotte.
An imminent return to WWE seems unlikely as the first ever UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion is now looking to start a family with her husband Travis Browne.
