Logan Paul announces boxing retirement as there is ‘no more money’ left to earn

Dillon Danis will seemingly be the last opponent Logan Paul faces in the boxing ring after the social media has confirmed he doesn't want to fight anymore.

The 28-year-old has said there's 'no more money in boxing' and intends to concentrate more on his career as a WWE superstar-in-the-making. That's after he defeated Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel earlier in November to capture the United States Championship, his first title in the wrestling promotion.

Paul beat Danis via disqualification in October to collect his first victory from four fights, which included two outings against fellow YouTuber KSI (a draw and a defeat) as well as an exhibition bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr. And that's seemingly left the Ohio native content as he announced plans to no longer take part in 'The Sweet Science'.

"I think I'm retired from boxing," Paul told Fox Business. "I've done enough going fully undefeated at 25-0. I'm going to be a wrestler now.

"No more money in boxing, every company is going broke. Full-time wrestler. Beat Rey Mysterio. Fair and square for the US Championship. It feels great. It was a dominant performance. Some frog splashes, some punches, it feels good."

Paul made his boxing debut in a draw against KSI at the Manchester Arena in August 2018. And it was almost exactly five years later that he was crowned victor over Danis at the same venue in what looks likely to now be his last appearance in the sport.

Despite past controversies tainting the American's image, Paul has received rave reviews for his potential to become a force in wrestling. It was only in April 2021 that he made his WWE debut on SmackDown, signing a multi-event contract with the promotion one year later.
