Saudi minister of entertainment Turki Alalashikh has asked that the broadcasters for the December 23 card reduce their Pay Per View prices to ensure everyone can enjoy the greatest boxing card in history.

The heavily stacked card, dubbed ‘The Day of Reckoning’, will see the likes of Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder fight on the same card against Otto Wallin and Joseph Parker.

Daniel Dubois, Jai Opeitita and Dimitry Bivol will also feature on the Saudi Arabian card later this month – making it one of the most exciting events in boxing history.

Fans were expecting extortionate PPV prices considering the calibre of athletes fighting on the card – and after they were previously charged huge prices for Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou’s Saudi fight in October. US fans were forced to pay $80 while British fans were charged £21.95.

His Excellency has now asked for the broadcasters to lower their prices so ‘everyone can enjoy’ the show.

‘We are proud to be hosting one of the most exciting nights of boxing that has ever been seen,’ he wrote on X. ‘Every single fight on this card could be the headliner!

Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalashikh has urged broadcasters to lower their PPV prices for the upcoming Day of Reckoning card on December 23

The mega event will see a host of top drawer fighters featuring on the same night

Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder are just two of the boxing superstars set to appear

‘We want all boxing fans to be able to join this evening with us, so we have requested that all of our broadcast partners reduce the Pay per view to these prices to offer exceptional value for the fans. US + Canada: 39.99 USD. UK: 19.99 GBP. Rest of the World: 21.99 USD.’

To celebrate the release of the PPV costs, Turki Alalashikh released an iconic photo of the boxers on the December 23 card.

His Excellency flew the December 23 card into London ahead of the press conference last month.

Upon arrival, the boxers were fitted with tailor made tuxedos and asked to sit around a Victorian table.

Joshua and Wilder sat at opposite ends of the table, while the likes of Dubois and Jarrell Miller sat in the middle.
