TV channel, streaming, and time for Ebanie Bridges’ boxing weigh-in

Boxing superstar Ebanie Bridges defends her IBF world bantamweight title on Saturday – but the excitement very much starts before then.

The Blonde Bomber has made a huge name for herself in the sport thanks to her impressive skills in the ring and jaw dropping looks out of it. Formerly a maths teacher in her native Australia, she has been wowing boxing fans ever since she embarked on a career first as a bodybuilding ring girl, and then as a stunning knockout queen.

The 37-year-old star's weigh-ins before her fights have also become the stuff of legend, thanks to the curvaceous beauty stripping down to the skimpiest of lingerie before stepping onto the scales. Her scantily-clad outfits have turned many a head – including boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who hasn't known where to look on more than one occasion.

Who is Ebanie Bridges' opponent?

Bridges was set to fight fellow Australian and former swimsuit model Avril Mathie in what had been dubbed – by the Blonde Bomber herself no less – as the 'Battle of the Boobs'. But she will now face the experienced Miyo Yoshida instead, due to an undisclosed injury suffered by Mathie in training.

Yoshida, from Kagoshima, Japan, but now based in the US and living in New York, holds a record of 16 wins and four losses, compared to Bridges' nine wins and one loss. Yoshida won the WBO junior bantamweight title in 2021 and offers plenty of threat in the ring.

Bridges, who lives and trains in the north of England, was crowned world champion with a points victory over Maria Cecilia Roman in Leeds in March 2022. All the more fitting, because she is a massive Leeds United fan.

Where are they fighting?

Bridges and Yoshida are fighting on the undercard of the Devin Haney versus Regis Prograis showdown, for the latter's WBC light welterweight championship, at San Francisco's famous Chase Center on Saturday, December 9. It will be Bridges' first fight in America and the venue in California will also play host to Liam Paro versus Montana Love, Andy Cruz versus Jovanni Straffon, Amari Jones versus Quilisto Madera, Beatriz Ferreira versus Destiny Jones, and Shamar Canal versus Jose Antonio Mez.

Where can I watch Ebanie Bridges' weigh-in?

You can watch Bridges' highly-anticipated weigh-in thanks to sports streaming network DAZN. It will be shown on their YouTube channel, DAZN Boxing, on Friday, December 8.

What time is Ebanie Bridges' weigh-in?

The weigh-in will begin at 4pm Eastern Time in the States, which is 9pm here in the UK. What a Friday night treat!

How can I see the big fight itself?

The Bridges and Yoshida fight will be streamed live on DAZN on Saturday, December 9. You can subscribe for £9.99 a month – the Total DAZN package – then stream on your TV, mobile, computer, console and more, whether live or on demand.

The Bridges and Yoshida ringwalks are scheduled for 8pm Eastern Time, which is 1am in the UK (early on Sunday, December 10 here). However, these timings could change due to the length of the undercard fights.
