Lewis Hamilton claims he was ‘taken out’ by George Russell as pair fume on radio

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell clashed with verbals and on the first corner of the Qatar GP on Sunday evening.

The Mercedes duo came together on turn one, sending Hamilton into the gravel and out of the race. Russell was less than impressed and screamed down his radio: "Come on! What the hell? Guys, come on. Two races in a row!" That followed a series of bleeped out expletives from the British driver.

Replays showed Hamilton's rear wheel and Russell's front left wheel touched as Hamilton attempted to go around the outside of his team-mate. A resigned Hamilton said: "Yeah I got taken out by my own team-mate," after he was asked if he was ok.
