Joey Barton has continued his social media rant against female pundits by saying “you’re going to have to kill me you c***s”.

The former Bristol Rovers manager, who was sacked by the League One side in October, sparked outrage this week by criticising female commentators and pundits across men’s matches. He took to social media to deliver an unhinged rant, claiming men who enjoyed female commentary “need their heads testing”.

The 41-year-old doubled down on his views on Piers Morgan’s Talk TV show, had a full blown debate with TNT Sports presenter Laura Woods on X and referred to England women’s manager Sarina Weigman by the wrong name – calling her “Sandra”.

But Barton, a former Manchester City midfielder, has gone one step further in another unhinged rant to say the middle aged British white man is “under attack”. Posting a video on social media of his two sons kicking a ball around his house, he took aim at feminists and “simps” while daring those critical of him to “kill him”

Barton’s tweet read: “These two young men already kicking that ball better at 16 months and 5 years. If they have a fantastic career in the game. Like their dad did. When they stop playing and are middle aged, there will be no jobs for them in the football industry because they are white, middle aged and male.

“In the Men’s game. Because the [sic] aren’t the right ethnicity. They don’t tick those tokenistic boxes. Because they are British men. How can that be right in the English Premier League?

“We have to take this fight up for future generations. This is not about us. The British, White, Middle Aged men is under attack.

“Strap your d***s on Monday people. We have to get to work before the Simps, the Feminist’s, the Racists and the Woke get there [sic] way. They’re intent on destroying everything because they are weak and talentless. They want to pull everyone and everything down.

“Take my boys future away? And thousands of young lads across this great land. Not on my watch. You’re going to have to kill me you c***s.”

Football fans lined up to have a go at Barton for his bizarre comments underneath his tweet. One wrote: "Joey Barton there, not that he needed to but here he is once again proving that he’s a complete and utter t***."

Another said: "This is the biggest advert against headering a ball I’ve ever seen." While a third added: "I know they talk about the whole shift to the right being a slippery slope but this c***s gone like marv from home alone."
