Micah Richards’ host family found hidden porn – and asked about it at dinner

Micah Richards has lifted the lid on embarrassing tale that saw his host family confront him about hidden porn at the dinner table.

Richards emerged through the ranks of Manchester City in the late 2000s, but as he was born in Birmingham and grew up in Leeds, he needed a host family while playing for City. However, it led to an awkward encounter around the dinner table.

The youngster had been staying Paul and Karen Priest and their two kids. And as he made his way down for some food, when he was confronted about the pornographic content.

Speaking on the Rest is Football podcast, he said: "I had all my washing and ironing done for me, I used to get a bus or taxi to training, it was fabulous.

"We had such a great connection and relationship. I remember once in my early days, you're still growing and becoming a man, so you're watching things we don't like to watch, experiencing different things.

"Everything in my room is perfect – kit, boots, school work and I used to keep books. But between the books I had a few different things. And as they've been cleaning they must've found something.

"I go down to dinner, everyone is acting like nothing has happened, we are all sat down as a family and Paul goes: 'Micah I didn't know you was into black booties'. It was one of my DVDs that they've found. Honestly, I wanted the ground to absolutely take me at that moment in time."

Gary Lineker, who hosts the podcast alongside Richards and Alan Shearer, burst out laughing as Richards couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
