Nick Kyrgios’ manager says ‘everyone thinks he is going into the adult industry’

Nick Kyrgios’ manager has clarified that the Aussie is not going into the porn industry despite setting up an OnlyFans account earlier this month. He recently announced that he was starting a free-to-access OnlyFans page to interact with his supporters in a new way.

Kyrgios is one of the most prominent male athletes to have joined OnlyFans, a subscription site where people can pay others for photos and videos. It has gained a reputation as a hub for adult content creators over the years but Kyrgios will not be following suit, with his page set to offer fans a unique insight into life as a professional tennis player.

His manager, Daniel Horsfall, told The Athletic: “Everyone initially will think that maybe Nick’s getting into the porn industry. Then they’ll find out, well, actually, it’s just [going] behind the scenes.”

Fans can expect to see a range of unique content on Kyrgios’ page, with the 28-year-old set to provide tennis tips and tricks alongside a deeper look into his personal life. He is frequently outspoken away from the court and outlandish on it, drawing attention for antics that have often resulted in punishment from the powers that be.

In a statement earlier this month, Kyrgios offered an early insight into what fans will be treated to on his OnlyFans page. He said: “Launching an OnlyFans was a no-brainer, they are revolutionising social media and I wanted to be a part of that. Athletes can no longer just show up on the court or the field, we have to show up online too.

“I want to create, produce, direct and own content. That’s the future. I’ve been speaking to my fans directly for years and I know what they want to see. Of course, there’ll be tennis balls involved, tips, tricks and behind the scenes, but also they’ll get to see all different sides of me. Gaming, tattoos, my intimate side – it’s all on the table and I’ll be bringing fans along for the ride.”

Keily Blair, CEO of OnlyFans, went on to explain that Kyrgios’ ‘disruptive’ nature makes him the perfect fit as the latest high-profile athlete to join the platform.

“A lot like OnlyFans, Nick is a disruptor, so it’s great to see him joining our platform, finding new ways to share his content and express himself,” said Blair. “We can’t wait to see what he has in store for his fans.”
