22 stone cricket star performs iconic bat drop after smashing stunning century

Cricket star Rakheem Cornwall pulled off an ice-cool bat drop after hitting a blitzing century in the Caribbean Premier League.

Cornwall, who is the sport's heaviest professional player at 22 stone, guided the Barbados Royals to victory against the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots on Sunday (September 3) with 102 off of just 49 balls.

The West Indies all rounder, 30, celebrated his maiden T20 century in style, lifting his bat up in the air before dropping it to the ground – emulating a mic drop.

He was named Player of the Match for his performance, which also included bowling numbers of 2/27. Speaking to the media afterwards, Cornwall said: "The pitch was really good.

He was also the victim of a comical run out last month which saw him stroll down the wicket without a care in the world as the ball thumped into the stumps.

He played a vital role for the Royals last year, though, scoring 242 runs in nine games as they won the competition. Cornwall is yet to make his international debut in the white-ball game, but he has 10 Test appearances to his name for the Windies.
