49ers QB Brock Purdy clears concussion protocol, set to play vs. Bengals

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has cleared concussion protocol and carries no injury designation going into Sunday’s showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals, the team announced on Saturday.

Purdy’s availability in Week 8 was in question this week after the 49ers QB exhibited concussion symptoms during the team’s flight home from Minneapolis following their 22-17 loss to the Vikings. Purdy was initially listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly.
