Martin Brundle gets into argument with F1 security during ‘awkward’ gridwalk

Sky Sports presenter and former F1 racer Martin Brundle got into a heated argument with a security member during his gridwalk before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Ahead of the final race of the F1 season, Brundle was on his gridwalk, interviewing stars such as Chris Hemsworth, before he attempted to head further up the grid towards the drivers and F1 royalty Sir Jackie Stewart.

However, his path was blocked by an over enthusiastic security guard who held Brundle and wouldn’t allow him to pass. But in true Brundle style, the former team-mate of Michael Schumacher soon got into a frosty argument with the man.

Brundle continued to try and move past the guard but he was blocked from doing so, eventually pulling his trump card and trying to look at his name and employer on his lanyard.

The 64-year-old did ultimately get past to the delight of fans on Twitter who weren’t left disappointed by Brundle’s final gridwalk of the season. One fan said: “Martin Brundle's best grid walk of the year. I thought he was going to knee that security guard.”
