Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea can sign five Barca stars as club ‘open to offers’

Arsenal 'ready to sell Thomas Partey' to raise funds for three-man January transfer list

La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly ready to listen to offers for any of their players in January, as further financial difficulties have ensured that they need extra income. Xavi’s side were forced to act frugally last summer as a result of previous overspending and may need to let one of their top stars leave the club in the upcoming transfer market.

Spanish outlet Relevo claim that Barcelona are working tirelessly to find additional income to balance their books and have not ruled out a big sale in January. They are reportedly willing to listen to offers for all of their players, which may prompt top Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea to take advantage. Here, Express Sport has taken a look at five current Barcelona stars who could head to England next month.

Raphinha

Former Leeds winger Raphinha has continuously been linked with a move back to the Premier League since he left over 18 months ago. Despite dazzling against English clubs under Marcelo Bielsa, the Brazilian has started less than half of Barcelona’s league games this season.

Raphinha has plenty of admirers in England and recently was linked with a move to United in a swap deal for Jadon Sancho. However, that would not generate the cash needed by Barcelona and any potential deal would likely have to involve a fee for the 27-year-old.

Alejandro Balde

Alejandro Balde has proven to be one of the top left-backs in the world and should he be available in January, he would have no shortage of suitors. Chelsea have been playing Levi Colwill in that position since Ben Chilwell suffered a long-term injury, but Balde would be a big upgrade over the former Brighton loanee who could return to centre-back.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Manchester City enquired about the possibility of signing Balde early in the summer transfer window and were rebuffed, but with Barcelona in need of funds they could be willing to entertain an offer from Pep Guardiola’s side or their rivals.

Ferran Torres

Similarly to Raphinha, Ferran Torres is well known to Premier League sides after his spell at Manchester City and his versatility especially would appeal to English suitors. The Spain international can play all across the frontline and Spanish outlet AS claim that he is considering his options after being disappointed with a lack of playing time under Xavi.

Arsenal are searching for more firepower in January and if they are unable to land top target Ivan Toney, with Brentford set to pay hardball over the transfer fee, they could turn their attention to Torres in order to pip the likes of City and Liverpool to the title this season.

Ronald Araujo

Manchester United are hoping to sign a top centre-back in the next two windows and Ronald Araujo’s name has been mentioned with a move to Old Trafford, even though Rio Ferdinand has urged him against joining Erik ten Hag’s side. He would certainly help ease the club’s injury crisis at the back in the short-term.

While Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are unlikely to have long-term futures at United and with Lisandro Martinez’s injury concerns, Araujo could be the necessary signing to shore up the Red Devils’ backline.

Andreas Christensen

Former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen is one of the players mentioned in the report as someone who could receive January offers. He has attracted interest from the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham previously, but United’s need for a defender may tempt them into a move for the Dane.

Any fee that Barcelona receives for Christensen would count as direct profit, having joined on a free transfer from Chelsea last year. With the club hoping to secure funds in January, the 27-year-old could seal a return to the Premier League.
