With the January transfer window fast approaching, Premier League sides are putting the finishing touches to their recruitment plans ahead of what promises to be a mesmerising month. Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all expected to splash the cash, with marquee departures anticipated as well.

Spurs eye Chelsea outcast

Tottenham remain interested in Chelsea outcast Trevoh Chalobah, according to TEAMtalk.

Ange Postecoglou is desperate for Spurs to sign at least one defender in January, though several arrivals in that department should not be ruled out.

Chalobah was among those linked with a move to North London during the latter stages of the summer window, and the 24-year-old appears to still be a consideration for Tottenham.

Express Sport understands that Crystal Palace are also in the frame for the Chelsea academy product, though they are targeting him to play in midfield whilst Cheick Doucoure is sidelined through injury.

United handed ‘next Rooney’ boost

Manchester United have been handed a major pursuit in their pursuit of the ‘next Rooney’, Copenhagen star Roony Bardghji.

The versatile forward has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in January, with Chelsea and Tottenham also among his admirers.
